Student visa —
step by step
Obtain an unconditional offer of place from a New Zealand institution approved by Immigration New Zealand (INZ) before applying for a student visa.
Prove you have NZD 15,000 per year for living costs, plus full tuition fees. Provide 3–6 months of bank statements, ITR, or a sponsorship letter.
Apply via the Immigration New Zealand online portal. Required documents include offer letter, financial proof, medical and travel insurance, and a medical certificate if required.
Indian passport holders need a visa to enter NZ — no NZeTA required separately. On arrival, your visa is confirmed at the border. You may work up to 20 hours/week on a student visa.
Scholarships available
