step by step

Receive offer letter from Irish institution

Obtain an unconditional letter of acceptance from a recognised Irish higher education institution before applying for a Study Visa.

Financial evidence

Show sufficient funds: EUR 7,000 minimum for the first year of study (EUR 500–700/month for accommodation + course fees). Bank statements for 6 months required.

03
Apply for Irish Study Visa (D Study)

Apply online via the AVATS system. Required documents include offer letter, financial proof, medical insurance, and passport-sized photos.

04
Register with GNIB on arrival

Within 90 days of arrival, register with the Garda National Immigration Bureau (GNIB) to get your Irish Residence Permit (IRP) card.
